Paramedics are trained to look for identifying information. Whether it’s a medical emergency or accident, knowing a person’s name and ICE (in case of emergency) contacts play a huge role. We asked first responders to tell us how they identify patients and what works best: A wallet, a cell phone, or identification jewelry—like a medical alert bracelet or ID wristband.
