We’ve had a lot of rain lately. The latest series of storm delivered almost 5″ (12.5 cm) of rain. I’ve managed to sneak some rides in between raindrops, or in the rain with my rain gear. But it was getting old. It was nice when the sun returned yesterday. My group took advantage and rode to the Southeast of Morgan Hill, then headed North on rural roads to pick up the Coyote Creek trail. We took that North to Metcalf Park in San Jose, returning to town for “Taco Tuesday” at Rosie’s. On the way there and back we had to detour up and over Malech Road because the trail is flooded near Bailey Ave. This was a delightful ride of about 20 miles in stunningly beautiful weather. We had a small group of eight, and a good time was had by all.

The following are on the Coyote Creek Trail Heading North Towards Bailey:

This is at the top of the hill on Malech road looking North, about to start a fun and fast descent:

From here we got back on the trail and headed to Metcalf Park and back. On the way back we took Malech again, and then down Bailey Rd to the trail. This is looking West on Bailey:

Here’s a few more heading back on the trail:
