In this interactive Round Table Helena Fox discusses how people with PD are at a higher risk of hospitalization and face many challenges while in the hospital. Helena Fox also talked about symptom management, and getting medications on time every time. Also conveyed at this event was that decreased movement opportunities, swallowing changes, and substituted medications can exacerbate Parkinson’s symptoms. It is important for all people with Parkinson’s to be aware of the risks, prepare ahead, and know how to advocate for their needs while in the hospital.
