Several Rides, Some Warm, Some Nice

Earlier last week we had high temperatures up in to the 90s F (32+ C) so it was good to get my rides in early. I’ve got pics from 3 rides here. The first was a week ago, a ride out to Harvey Bear Park on my upright. I meant to go off road but ran out of time so I just did the scenic paved Martin Murphy trail loop.

The second ride was Tuesday of last week, my group ride, Southeast of Morgan Hill and up in the hills east of Gilroy. This was the hottest day, probably reaching the high 80s F (30+ C) by the end of the ride. This was our hottest ride this year so far and everybody was not acclimatized so we felt more tired than usual afterwards.

Meeting at the start in Nob Hill’s parking lot. Locals ride here (it’s only 3 miles for me), while those from further away drive and park.

The 3rd ride was last Friday. I had to be at an early lunch and needed to sneak in a longer ride, so I left early and got to see the sunrise. The weather had cooled off by Friday so it was actually a bit cold at the start.

Southeast on Condit Rd. This is not as dangerous as it looks, the traffic was light and I had good visibility with flashing lights front and back and bright colors.

The sun just peeking over the hills. The blue car gave me a wide berth passing and is now safely reentering my lane.

Left onto Roop road heading East. The sun got framed nicely by a tree.
